Family Mission Teams have life-changing experiences at our Caribbean Mountain Academy!
Your Family will:
- Experience a different culture
- Love more
- Learn together
- Grow closer
- Serve together
Families who serve together on a mission trip often discover and learn a lot about each other as they take time to “be” instead of always “doing”. Mission trips build lifelong memories as you experience a different culture, meet new people and do something that really matters … serving others.
Families grow together while serving others. Volunteering and sacrificing your time to serve others teaches children the value of giving to and helps them to be sensitized to the fact that there is always someone in greater need than ourselves. As you experience this together as a family, the bond you have grows and families see each other more clearly and love and respect grows.
Our vision is to create long-term partnerships with specific communities around our Caribbean Mountain Academy campus in the Dominican Republic. Our goal is to come alongside these leaders and serve them so that they can reach their goals. Both our students and visiting mission teams and families will work to build strong relationships and offer concentrated educational, economic and spiritual support to these partners. Although many Dominicans are materially poor, they are rich in their relationships with God, family and friends. As your family serves, the joy rubs off on them, helping them gain perspective on what is really important in life.

The Five Love Languages
Learn the secret to building a love that lasts. Discover how to speak your spouse and children’s love language and make them feel loved in a way they understand. While love is a many splendored thing, it is sometimes a very confusing thing, too. And as family members come in all varieties, shapes, and sizes, so do their choices of personal expressions of love. But more often than not, the giver and the receiver express love in two different ways. After going through this program, family members will be able to effectively love and truly feel loved in return. Skillful communication is within your grasp!
